Breaking News of ILT20 and Shaheen Shah Afridi! The Pakistani cricket star has signed with Desert Vipers for the second season of the UAE’s ILT20. When the highly-anticipated league begins in January 2024, Afridi will be the first Pakistani player to participate in the league. He has a three-year contract with the company.

Afridi will join the group after arriving from Australia following the New Year’s Test in Sydney. The start of the season is slated for January 13.
After signing with Vipers last year, Azam Khan was destined to become the first Pakistani player in the ILT20. The PCB ultimately chose not to provide him the no-objection certificate to take part in the competition, nevertheless.
After players complained about the stringent requirements imposed by the former administration, led by Ramiz Raja, last year, the PCB, under the leadership of its current chairman Zaka Ashraf, has loosened its limits on players’ participation in several T20 competitions. In addition to Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, Tom Curran, and Sheldon Cottrell, Afridi will join a bowling attack that currently includes these players.
